Frank Zappa. Ronnie James Dio. Some names will always be synonymous with amazing live shows. Now, years after their death, the magic of holograms is making it possible to bring these artists and their timeless music back to the stage. Every night, as the ‘DIO Returns’ hologram tour ripped through Europe, fans threw up rock horns, sang along and interacted with a performance that reconnected them with the music and artist they loved. As Dio and Zappa holograms hit the festival circuit in 2019, these artists will make history yet again. This session, moderated by APA partner Steve Martin and hologram production company Eyellusion CEO Jeff Pezzuti, will feature Ahmet Zappa and Wendy Dio along with famed musicians Scott Thunes (Frank Zappa), and Simon Wright (DIO, AC/DC, UFO), who will support 2019’s biggest hologram tours. They’ll talk fan reactions, size of this new opportunity and what to expect from these highly-anticipated productions that are poised to pack an audience.
