PJ Loughran is an entrepreneur and creative leader that has crafted illustrations, songs, businesses, brands, festivals and creative organizations over his 22 year career.

PJ is President of Brand Creative at Superfly, co-creators of the Bonnaroo and Outside Lands music festivals, and leaders in the creation of cross-channel marketing solutions and live experiences for brands including Google, Apple, Facebook, Fiat, and Intel, among many others.

In 2011, PJ founded The Distillery, an LA/Chicago-based creative marketing firm, with an emphasis on social media and IP development. In early 2013, PJ sold The Distillery to Superfly.

In 2004, PJ founded Kerosene Creative Services, a creative marketing firm whose client list included LEGO, Sony Pictures, Universal, Warner Bros, and 20th Century Fox. In 2009, PJ sold Kerosene to Chicago-based Manifest Digital where he served as Chief Creative Officer for two years.

From 1998-2006, PJ was an adjunct professor at Parsons teaching classes in design, illustration, interactive design and drawing and has been a frequent guest lecturer at schools and design organizations nationwide including Northwestern University, Parsons School Of Design, the School of Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, Columbus College of Art and the North Carolina Design Association.

PJ began his career doing illustrations for the Op-Ed pages of the New York Times while attending Parsons School of Design. Since then, he has created over 2000 illustrations for clients including Sports Illustrated, Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, Time, Nike, Ford Motor Company, Simon and Schuster, Burton Snowboards and the New York Times. Most notably, In 2014 PJ completed his first illustrated book entitled, “Turning 15 on the Road To Freedom”, which earned a number of prestigious awards including the 2016 Sibert Book Medal, Kirkus Best Books of 2015, Booklist Editors' Choice 2015, BCCB Blue Ribbon 2015 and the 2016 Jane Addams Children's Book Award for Older Readers.

PJ is an accomplished musician and songwriter. Since 2001, he has completed four full-length records and has performed for audiences nationwide, including opening spots for Maroon 5, R.E.M., Taj Mahal, Martin Sexton, Todd Rundgren, and REO Speedwagon, among many others.

PJ is a member of several professional organizations, most notably, YPO (Young Presidents Organization.)
